You need UFRaw, which can be either used on its own or as a GIMP plug-in: http://ufraw.sourceforge.net/ Ian -- Ian Riches Bedford, UK

But thanks - result is CR2's have been re-typed as UFRaw photo which is good enough for me. I start off with a jpeg 4,629 and a CR2 which is 15995. Somehow the program is generating a [tiff.CR2] at 16364 and a .tiff at 35896 . I do not see the use of the [tiff.CR2] so I presume that it can be deleted. The tiff picture with after treatment in Gimp is as good as anything I have generated in Photoshop and I am very happy with the setup - thanks Some thanks should of course also go to Canon but then that was done by the way of dollars :-) Børge in sunny Perth, Australia
