MetaMorph 5 Journal Image scaling

dear all, i need some help with MetaMorph 5. MetaMorph is an image recording/setup control etc. software package. Problem: I would like to switch between searching my specimen and imaging. Now i manually change illumination time (100 for searching; 900 for aquisition) and image scaling (756 for searching and 4095 for aquisition) in the acquire dialog box. i will have to do this >1000 times in the near future. Therefore i thought of recording a journal (makro) which does by one button being pressed. Changing illumination time using the journal is rather easy. But i failed to adjust the image scaling. i can do it for already taken images. more interesting is to adjust it prior to image acquisition (esp for the live view). can you please give me a hint how to record a journal which sets image scaling just like i would do it, before i press the "show live" button (to see something using this short illumination time). kind regards jos
